I'm Shehzar Abro, a director, professional 3D animator, layout artist, and educator based in Toronto, Canada, originally from Karachi, Pakistan. I’ve contributed to projects like Sausage Party: Foodtopia and Mia and Codie, published by Amazon Prime and TVOntario, working with award-winning studios such as Bardel Entertainment and Relish Studios. My work aims to capture the essence of my subjects through movement, performance, color, light, shapes, and form.
As a visual artist and filmmaker, my journey has been a kaleidoscope of media, from fine art to photography, filmmaking, and visual effects, always driven by a fascination with light and shadow. At Vancouver Film School, I explored 3D Animation and Visual Effects, specializing in Compositing. MPC's VFX Technicolor Academy further refined my skills with tools like Katana, Houdini, and Renderman to sculpt light. For the past four years, I’ve worked as a Compositor, including at FOLKS VFX, a AAA studio. Now, as the Compositing and Lighting Supervisor at Pirani Productions, I focus on crafting visual narratives where light and composition tell powerful stories.
I am an artist, director, modeler and texturing artist, and 2D FX animator who views the creative journey as one of constant curiosity and growth. I’ve worked with award-winning studios like Bardel Entertainment, Stellar Creative Lab, and Atomic Cartoons, specializing in 3D modeling, surfacing, and 2D FX animation. I’ve also contributed to Diary of a Wimpy Kid and collaborated with NGX on concept art projects. As a Lab Instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), I guide students as they develop their own creative voices.
I’m Zubin Kuruvilla, a Vancouver-based 3D modeler, texturing artist, and educator specializing in high-quality hard surface and organic assets. Proficient in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and more, I focus on production-ready models and efficient workflows. As a professional and educator at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, I’ve worked on diverse projects across industries and led workshops like “Prop Modeling Kickstarter” and “Hard Surface Essentials.” My work blends technical precision with creative vision to bring visually compelling stories to life.
